Allegra-D is an antihistamine and decongestant combination used to relieve congestion, sneezing, and watery eyes due to colds, flu, or hay fever. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor. |

General Directions for Taking Allegra:
Take Allegra only as directed. If you miss a dose of Allegra, take the Allegra as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next Allegra dose, take only 1 dose of Allegra. DO NOT double up the Allegra doses. Take Allegra on an empty stomach if possible. Stop taking Allegra for several days prior to having allergy testing - May affect results. See your doctor regularly to monitor the effectiveness of Allegra.
Allegra Contraindications:
Allergies - Hypersensitivity to Allegra or Allegra components
Use Allegra with caution in:
Pregnancy and Breast Feeding - May not be safe for your baby. Talk to your doctor about the risks and benefits. Patients with liver or kidney disease - May require smaller doses of Allegra.
Common Allegra Side Effects:
May occur during the first few days after beginning therapy, but usually resolve: Nausea, upset stomach, menstrual cramps, fatigue, or cold and flu symptoms Drowsiness, though rare, may occur at any dose
Serious Allegra Side Effects:
Notify your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following: Worsening of any of common side effects Allergic reaction symptoms such as a red skin rash; itching; swelling of the face, lips, tongue, and throat; wheezing; chest pain; and difficulty breathing
Allegra Interactions:
Drug - There are many medications, both over-the-counter and prescription, which will alter the action of Allegra. Some include sedatives, tranquilizers, narcotics, antidepressants, and other antihistamines. It is extremely important that you consult with your doctor about dosing schedules if you take a variety of medications along with Allegra. DO NOT take any new medication without talking with your doctor first.
Allegra Warnings:
Allegra Overdose - Can worsen side effects. Avoid alcoholic beverages. May increase drowsiness. Keep Allegra out of reach of children and pets.

Additional information:
If your symptoms do not improve or if they become worse, contact your doctor. DO NOT SHARE Allegra-D with others for whom it was not prescribed. DO NOT USE Allegra-D for other health conditions. KEEP Allegra-D out of the reach of children and pets. IF USING Allegra-D FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME, obtain refills before your supply runs out.
